We recently added one of these bluetooth speakers to our ever growing collection (3 to date). Something I've learned in my acquision of different sizes and priced speakers is that "value" and "performance" is directly related to the price you pay...not the price they charge for these devices. Some people are just set on paying too much for...whatever just for the name or to brag about how much they paid for something. These people have more money than sense. If this is you, I've seen this speaker selling in the $100 range. At that price, this speaker would be a 3-4 star review. For $40, which is where this speaker is currently selling on Amazon, It's a phenominal 5 star value!

It seems everyone wants to measure these mini speakers in terms of the Jawbone Jambox (retail $199 at most box stores). This speaker not only suspiciously looks like a Jambox, it performs as well as one (in my opinion). I want to divulge some specs that do not show up in the description listed here on Amazon. First of all, it measures approx. 6"x2"x2" which is smaller than listed on Amazon. Secondly, it has two front facing speakers as well as a passive bass unit on the bottom (speaker holes in bottom of unit not shown). It is very well built (solid weight)with non-skid feet. It has (two) 3 watt (1.5")speakers that have a great high to low range. It has an 1100 mah battery that is larger than most in this price range. Syncing is simple and clear (instructions provided). Also, the power connecter is a "mini-usb" and not the "micro-usb" like my others which is a plus for me because the mini's seem to be very delicate and tend to bend if you accidently try to plug it in upside down.

I've tried to do my homework before I purchased this item but info on this speaker, including reviews, was limited so that's why I decided to write to help someone who is just starting to search for the best value for one of these speakers. I bought one of these particular speakers (blue color) for my wife to use at her work (hair stylist). She syncs it with her Samsung Galaxy S2 and plays Pandora streaming music for her clients. She loves the sound and the speaker phone function (she can answer incoming calls on her cell with the touch of a button). Battery lasts all day long without having to plug it in to charge.

I'm sure the Jambox, Beats, Bose and other high end speakers are fine products but for someone on a budget who wants value as well as performance, this is a good option. This speaker has the features and build quality of speakers in the $100-200 range for much less.
