I wanted a speaker for the bathroom counter for my phone. I set this up within seconds. Love that aspect of it. Immediately it paired with my Galaxy S4. I used the plug-in cord for my iPad 5th gen, haven't tried Bluetooth since I have a Bluetooth keyboard already paired, and it works great with cord too. Since purchasing about 5 days ago, I've carried it all over the house. Very portable. Good sound. Good bass. LOUD enough for shower or doing the dishes. Right now, I have it in the basement and I'm in the DR and I hear it clearly. Holds a good charge, LI battery. So far, I am VERY happy with this. I can see my son taking it to the bonfire this summer because yes, it carries with the loudness factor and probably enough to annoy neighbors. Came with a soft carry bag. Lots of instructions.
