OSD Audio RX805 2-Way Outdoor Rock Speakers (Pair, Sandstone Brown) Review

I use rock speakers to provide audio for a large outdoor Christmas Lights and music show. I purchased these as a quick-fix after blowing a woofer in a smaller, older set of rock speakers (which I have always thought sounded pretty good themselves). The difference between the old ones and the new ones is remarkable. These speakers have a bass response that you'd expect from a fully-enclosed speaker with an 8" woofer, and it is far superior to my old ones, which had a 5 1/4" woofer. The pair that I have are hooked up to an older-style home theater receiver (pre-HDMI) that puts out about 100 watts per channel RMS. They have about 60 feet of speaker wire between the amp and the speakers, and I still have to keep the volume dialed back a bit, because when I did my first test with these, it sounded like a rock concert in my front yard.

For the price I paid, I couldn't have asked for a better set of speakers to replace my old ones. It was a very good investment that I expect to pay dividends to my light show for years to come.
