I had my pair of AKGs for a while noe and the wire has broken 3 times, and im carefull with my electronics. After my warrenty expired I couldnt get the replacement cable for free. I then saw this and decided to take a chance and might be worth the extra cost compared to what akg was offering. I figured the AKG wire will just break again cause its so flimsy.

Definitely a good choice. The wire itself is about twice as thick as the regular so you know it will be a little.more durable and not break as easily. Noticed a slightly better sound quality from the OFC. And its a few inches longer (always a plus I guess)

The only problem I had is it took too long to get here. 3 weeks! I use my headphobes everyday so this was annoying and ive ordered stuff fRom China that ive recieved in less than a week.
