Product Description
The only thing left to add to the decco65 is your computer or streamer and speakers. Simple and elegant for the way you listen. The decco65 has the inputs you really need for sources you use. Few are "analog" today, yet most integrated amplifiers on the market support analog only. The decco65 was designed to enhance any digital source, from mp3 to full 24/192 on your computer to the Apple TV, Sonos, music servers, internet radio or whatever source you choose. The Reasons It Sounds So GoodThe ESS Sabre Digital to Analog Converter is widely recognized as the world's best DAC when dealing with hostile digital components like computers and streamers. The 24/192 Asynchronous USB Input provides the best possible processing from this port and furthers the efforts of the ESS Sabre DAC.Galvanic Isolation Typically reserved for more expensive DAC circuits, galvanic isolation prevents electrical noise from entering the DAC board on all grounded digital inputs. The Tube Buffer uses a stereo triode 6N1P to smooth the harsh digital edge found in poor recordings and compressed audio. The Amplifier uses the same technology found in very expensive premium amplifiers. The Headphone Amp switches the speakers off when your headphones are inserted, so even when a quiet environment is required, you can still fill your head with lush high resolution music.Digital to Analog ConverterThe ESS Sabre Digital to Analog Converter is widely recognized as the world's best DAC when dealing with hostile digPeachtree Audio Decco 65 Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black Gloss) Review
I have owned the Decco65 for about a month now. It's meeting all my expectations. The reviews on-line give a pretty accurate picture of what you can expect. My previous system, prior to my downsizing, consisted of Mesa Baron tube power amp, Graaf Graafiti Two hybrid pre-amp, Rega P25 turntable, various digital sources hooked up to a DAC and Monitor Audio MAG903 speakers. All pretty high-end stuff, connected by what seemed like a myriad of expensive interconnects and power cables. Now I have the Decco, a Squeezebox Touch and Jamo C803 bookshelf speakers. The Decco is connected directly to the outlet with a Shunyata Venom 3 power cable. The SBT is connected by an Audioquest VDM-1 digital cable to one of the Decco's coaxial inputs. The Jamos are bi-wired with LAT speaker cables. That's it. Very simple and clean. The sound? Well, let me just say I don't miss my previous set-up one bit. This system gives me the same, maybe even more, satisfaction as my tube-based rig. In fact, I think the Jamos "disappear" more than the Monitor Audios. The Decco is detailed, quiet and easy on the eyes. The remote works well, even though it's not much to look at, and the headphone amp is as good as my previous Musical Fidelity X-Can 2. Overall, I am totally satisfied with the Decco and think it's a very well thought-out product. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Peachtree Audio Decco 65 Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black Gloss)" are high quality item.
