I have used this on my desk at home for music and sound. It charges while i use other apps. Music plays while I use other apps. I use my Ipad3 for everything, notes, calendar and reminders. This system works well on my desk and keeps everything in one place. No more looking for the scribbled note. This system allows for great visual in horizontal and vertical mode. Easy to use. There is no remote but I don't think that a remote is a necessary item. It is very sturdy. I have no fears when students gather around my desk. All in all i have used this for a month and no complaints.
