I was very surprised by the performance of these tiny little speakers. I compared them to a pair of Definitive Technology ProMonitor 800 small bookshelf speakers, a more expensive and much larger speaker. The Minx did not have quite the depth of sound as the ProMonitor, but was very clear and distinct. I tried the speakers in a very large room which may have been to big for these little speakers.

The frequency response of these speakers is 110 to 20,000 Hz. You would need at least a small subwoofer to fill in the base range for a better home theater experience. The speakers also lack the top end you would want for listening to a lot of music. But if you are looking for small satellite speakers for mostly TV watching, these are a very good choice. These speakers are far, far better than the usual speakers found on TVs, especially the rear facing speaker setup on most flat panel TVs.

The speakers have a very attractive and high quality appearance.They come with a small plastic clip that can be used to hang them on a wall. My 5 star rating is based on how good the speakers are taking into account the low price and the very small size. I think these speakers would probably outperform many much larger speakers in the same price range.
