Hercules BS500X Home Series Music Stand Review

I had previously used a metal fold-up music stand when learning guitar pieces, but it was hard to set the shaft to a new height and, when a book or a mass of sheet music, sat on the stand, it would become top heavy and topple over - the narrow "fan" pieces of the upper stand would dent my wooden floor. This stand, however has a solid base; it's a bit heavier, too, and these traits make it much more stable. The vertical shaft is easy to adjust to a new height, and the music holder's adjustment clip makes it a snap to adjust to a new angle. I also like the wooden color, and the solid music holder is an improvement over the "fan" holder of my previous stand. Because of the wide, three-leaf base on this one, it's a bit hard to store without taking it apart, but I've managed to accommodate that. All things considered, I'm very happy with this stand.
