I got these speakers for our housewarming party which was going to be mostly outside. I looked at all the reviews of weatherproof speakers on Amazon and went with these. SO glad I did! They sound great! I got the main set and a pair of add ons and they worked perfectly with each other. They are plenty loud enough (I even had to turn them down so people could talk), lasted through 2 parties so far on a single set of six AA batteries in each speaker, and worked at the four corners of my moderately large yard.

I do occasionally hear a little background hiss/static and seems to be random. Sometimes it'll be crystal clear, sometimes some hiss. Maybe our neighbors were using their wireless phones or doing something near the same frequency? Whatever...overall they worked great and I would recommend getting these.
