All this is accomplished via optical isolated gain reduc-tion and tube circuits to maintain a pristine full-bodied sound. these guys are sick. my only question is how do they do it so cheap? I also have a RP503 I picked up for $150. That unit gives me a mic pre, compressor and eq in one single spaced rack unit device. WTF is that about??? How is that possible> For that price? And it sounds great? They should speak on that, and let us know how they do it. I feel like companies like behringer get a bad rap for being low end consumer end products you can buy for 1/10th the price of pro gear but actually can sound good sometimes. no pro would buy it cuase clients that enter the studio would not take the studio seriously. This company surpases those companies but at a cheaper price than them... it's like a Lamborghini knock off selling a diablo for $5,000. And it seems to run very well. Mic companies like blue and cascade are doing the same thing. You can get that U47 sound for $200 now, you really can. and with a unit like this, you're golden.
