I have been a fan of Onkyo for years and I have to say that this product has done nothing to dissuade me from that position. Let me address some of the concerns from other reviews as I have found them:1. No 2012/2013 pin connector: I am guessing this can or will be addressed with some type of adapter or fix in the future. In the meantime, it didn't bother me because I never hook up my iPhone directly for at home listening. I use the Airplay function from my PC exclusively and it works great.
2. The sound: I guess I'm not an audiophile because it sounds great to me. No, I haven't tried to power an entire house party with it.
The unit looks great and for me it works great. I understand that others don't feel the same way but I do think sometimes it is a matter of expectations.
