Honestly, I read the other reviews posted after I received this unit. Glad I did. I've had this for almost three weeks now and it does what it says it does. I've had other JVC products in the past and bought this since their reliability has always been good. I only paid $110 for it, so I wasn't expecting Bose kind of sound. I use my iPad all day long and this keeps it charged while using it and sounds fine for YouTube stuff and streaming like Pandora. Being able to charge my iPhone at the same time is a plus. I'm happy with it.
