I've been playing since the 60's, and this has become the only type of guitar stand that I'll use. Because of the way it's designed, it only grips the guitar around the top of the neck, so just about any shape of guitar will work. It's heavier and more durable than other styles, too. It is a bit more of a hassle to transport, since it doesn't break down and/or fold up as much as other types, but if you want your instrument to be secure, it's worth it.
