I bought it as a gift for my father in law, mainly for it's karaoke funcionality, it worked as espected, i downloaded a bunch of karaoke songs in .avi format into an usb flash drive, connected it to the dvd and song all night with my family.
Dvd playback is also very good, i still miss an hdmi connection and upscale capabilities, but my father in law doesn't.
