My 2008 (76 Reissue) Gibson Explorer came stock with the 500T (t for treble/bridge pickup) and a 469R (R for rhythym/neck pickup). These puppies do it all. They are just amazing. They can handle all the gaini my Mesa Boogie Mark IV can muster. I can play metal and go to a dirty blues on the neck pickup with a step on the floor and click on the guitar. The sound big and open for blues sound, but tighten up for higher gain. They smoke the stock pickups that came in my Les Paul. I think I may just have to change them out and throw these bad boys in there.
