I purchased these OSD speakers to replace a pair of Advent Marbl outdoor speakers that were starting to wear out. Out of the box, I noticed that the OSDs are very light (much lighter than the much smaller advents). Although these OSDs are bigger than the Advents and have a 6.5 inch woofer instead of the Advents' 5.25 inch woofer, the bass on the Advents was much tighter. To my ear, the OSDs are overly bright, harsh and fatiguing. I currently have a pair of OSD rock speakers that I have been happy with. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing about the AP650s, and they are going back (I am replacing them with more expensive, but hopefully better, Klipsch AW-650s).
